We Support the Ronald McDonald House

Fresh donations every week

Since 2011, Tosa Farmers Market vendors have donated thousands of pounds of food to the kitchens at the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Eastern Wisconsin. Every Saturday, vendors generously fill several large green bins with their unsold products. Most of this fresh food is transformed into convenient to-go meals for families who stay at the House and spend their days at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin. Ronald McDonald staff explain that when life has been disrupted in every other way, having free lunches made from fresh ingredients is an enormous help. When you support the Tosa Farmers Market vendors, you support these families.

Why do People Love the Market?

“We want to thank the Tosa Farmers Market, sponsors and vendors for the wonderful [Power
of Produce] PoP program! With all the fresh, wonderful produce our daughter purchased with her tokens, she was able to make several batches of delicious salsa, which we shared with our neighbor.”
The Blomfeldt Family

“I love interacting with the cute families and friendly people at the information tent. It feels like 80% socializing and 20% work and is a whole lot of fun. There is such a positive energy from the vendors and customers everyone is in their happy place at TFM.”

“At Outpost Natural Foods Co-op, we feel everyone deserves access to delicious and wholesome food. Since the very beginning, Outpost has sponsored the Tosa Farmers Market. We are committed to supporting local growers and producers because in doing so, we know we are helping to develop a sustainable food system that effectively serves our area. The shorter a product has to travel to market, the better our environment. And we just think local food tastes better. Simply put, buying local keeps more dollars in our community and strengthens our rural and local economies, creating meaningful careers and supporting farm families who live and work the land.”
