Tosa Farmers Market

Volunteer at the Market!

The 2016 Tosa Farmer’s Market (TFM) is fast approaching! We are gearing up for an outstanding season.  As you may know, TFM is a volunteer-run open air market that brings locally-grown fruits and vegetables and foods crafted by Wisconsin artisans directly to the people of Wauwatosa and surrounding communities. We emphasize the word VOLUNTEERS, as it is they who make it all happen on a weekly basis.

For individuals who want to volunteer, you can sign up here:

We are also offering another way to volunteer: community groups and associations can adopt a week and join #TeamTFM through volunteering.  What this means is that your group will provide the manpower for staffing out information booth and assist with set-up and tear down. You would most certainly not be alone – we will always have a TFM Board Member in addition to the Market Manager available to train, guide, and answer questions throughout the day.

Why get involved? Beyond being a whole lot of fun, it gives you a chance to invest in your community in a very dynamic way: building team spirit, engaging with locals and farmers from other parts of the state, and supporting the TFM. On the day you takeover, your group may wear representative clothing and set out literature that tells about what you do (upcoming events, etc.). Use this as an opportunity to also drive awareness of your own great work.

About the Market:

·      Dates: Saturdays from June 4 – October 15.

·      Hours: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM (Although some volunteers would be needed just before and after those times)

·       Required Number of Volunteers Needed, at Minimum: 3 to help set up, 2 for AM shift, 2 for PM shift and 3 to help tear down (A group of ten is ideal)
